Lauren began riding when she was about 8 years old but always had the horse-bug! She started out learning the basics and began jumping and doing small shows at local places like Haskins Farm and Sandy Point Stables. She became interested in dressage and eventually in natural horsemanship and began her journey into helping people understand their horse just a little bit better.

She has ridden with instructors such as Diane Marshall, Pam Conley, and Jill Swift and ridden in clinics with trainers such as Mark Rashid, Melanie Tenney, Niall Quirk, Sara Contois, Bill McMullin, Allison Ward, Jason Drass, Bryan Neubert, and Tom Curtin.
